Precision
One wrong class, one sloppy description of goods, and the registration you paid for does not cover the product you actually sell. We check the detail because the detail is the whole job.
The firm
XCO was founded in 2024 to solve one specific problem: businesses outside the United States need American IP protection, and the usual options are either a large firm that bills by the hour or an online platform where nobody ever answers your actual question.
Why we exist
Since 2019, anyone applying for a U.S. trademark from abroad has been required to work through a licensed U.S. attorney. For a company in Milan, Madrid or Shenzhen that turns a routine filing into a search for someone trustworthy, in a different time zone, at a price that is impossible to predict.
We built XCO around that gap. We are two years old, deliberately small, and we work the way we would want to be worked with: you get a quote before anything starts, the same person follows your file from first email to certificate, and if we think your case is weak we say so instead of taking the money.

What we hold to
They are unremarkable. Keeping them consistently is the difficult part.
One wrong class, one sloppy description of goods, and the registration you paid for does not cover the product you actually sell. We check the detail because the detail is the whole job.
Trademarks are a race to the filing date. We reply within a day and file within three, because a week of waiting can genuinely cost you the name.
No ticket numbers, no chatbot, no template answer that does not address what you asked. You write to a person, and that person knows your file.
The team
A core team, plus licensed correspondents in the jurisdictions where your case has to be filed.

Founder · IP Consultant
Handles trademark strategy and client files from first contact to registration. Works in Italian, English and Spanish.

U.S. Attorney at Law
Licensed to practise before the USPTO. Signs and files every U.S. application and answers the examining attorney.

Contracts & Copyright
Drafts and reviews licences, assignments and development agreements, and manages copyright filings and takedowns.
The network
When your file needs a lawyer admitted somewhere we are not, we bring in a correspondent we have worked with before — and we keep the coordination. You never end up managing three professionals in three time zones by yourself.
Next step
A first assessment is free and costs you one email. You get a written answer within one business day.
